In a video released on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon, heartily endorses the Arvo Pärt Project at Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, Yonkers, NY, especially in anticipation of concerts and events taking place in late May and early June, in Carnegie Hall and other venues. Metropolitan Tikhon spoke highly of the project, as well as of Maestro Pärt and his music, as examples of the engagement of Orthodox Christianity with the surrounding culture. He expressed his thoughts in a video released today.
