SOUTH CANAAN, PA [OCA Communications] — A two CD recording of the Divine
Liturgy celebrated during the pilgrimage marking the 100th anniversary of Saint Tikhon’s Monastery here in May 2005 is now available through Saint Tikhon’s Bookstore.

The recording features a 200 voice choir of clergy and faithful assembled from many different parishes under the direction of the Very Rev. Sergei Glagolev, one of today’s most widely recognized and renowned composers and arrangers of Orthodox liturgical music in North America. The recording also features the voices of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman; members of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America; guest hierarchs; and concelebrating priests and deacons.

Among the numerous selections featured on the CD, in addition to works by Father Glagolev, are compositions by Makarov, Smolensky, Krasnatovsky, Archangelsky, Balakirev, and others. A number of traditional chants—
Bulgarian, Moscow, Kievan, valaam, Byzantine, and Serbian, to name a few—are also featured.

The CD set, which makes a perfect Christmas gift, is available on-line from Saint Tikhon’s Bookstore for $24.95.
