-—His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman, Primate of the Orthodox Church in America, will attend the annual assemblies of the Diocese of the South and the Archdiocese of Canada in July 2004.
On Monday, July 19, His Eminence, Archbishop Dmitri of Dallas and the South, and Mr. Milos Konjevich will welcome Metropolitan Herman to Dallas, TX. The following morning, the hierarchs will concelebrate the Divine Liturgy marking the opening of the diocesan assembly at Saint Seraphim of Sarov Cathedral, after which they will join diocesan clergy wives for a luncheon. The day will conclude with the celebration of Vespers and a reception for assembly delegates. Metropolitan Herman is slated to address the assembly on Wednesday morning, July 21. Protopresbyter Robert Kondratick, OCA Chancellor, will also address delegates at the opening plenary session.
On Wednesday evening, Metropolitan Herman will arrive in Saskatoon, SK, Canada, where he will be welcomed by His Grace, Bishop Seraphim of Ottawa and Canada and the Very Rev. Dennis Pihach, Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Canada. The following morning he will address delegates to the archdiocesan assembly. On Friday, July 23, he will concelebrate the Divine Liturgy with Bishop Seraphim; His Eminence, Bishop Mark of the Moscow Patriarchate; His Eminence, Archbishop Lazar, former Archbishop of Ottawa; His Grace, Bishop Varlaam, former Bishop of Vancouver; Fathers Kondratick and Pihach; the Rev. Lawrence Farley; Archdeacon Alexei Klimitchev; and Protodeacon Robert Hutcheon.
