Prayers requested for Alaskan priest’s son

BETHEL, AK [OCA Communications] — His Grace, Bishop Nikolai of Sitka, Anchorage, and Alaska has requested that prayers be offered for seven-year-old David Ogan, the son of the Rev. David and Matushka Katherine Ogan of Saint Sophia Church here, who was run over by a pick up truck Monday, September 25, 2006.

Accompanied by his mother, the boy was medivacced to Providence Hospital, Anchorage, AK, where he was met by Bishop Nikolai and Archimandrite Isidore, who anointed him. He remains in stable but critical condition. Father David and the couple’s other two children, Daniel, 9, and Anna, 2, arrived later on an Alaska Air flight to be with him.

“We don’t know the extent of his injuries at this time,” Bishop Nikolai said on Tuesday, September 26. “Through the prayers of Saint Herman, may Our Lord have mercy and heal him.”

Cards and notes of support may be sent to the Ogan family at PO Box 1347 #337, Bethel, AK 99559.
