Resources for Planned Giving now available on OCA web site

SYOSSET, NY [OCA Communications] — A wide variety of resources on planned giving is now available on the web site of the Orthodox Church in America.

The resources can be accessed by logging onto the web site at http://www.oca.org and clicking the link titled “Planned Giving Resources,” or by going directly to www.oca.org/PGindex.asp?SID=5.

According to the Very Rev. John Dresko, director of the OCA Office of Development and Stewardship, “anyone can go to the site confidentially and use the gift calculator to see how different gifts would affect them with regard to taxes, timing, value, etc. They can review numerous gift possibilities at their own leisure. No one from the OCA will contact them unless specifically requested to do so.”

A number of informative e-brochures also are available for downloading from the site.

Also featured on the site are informative sections covering the types of gifts one may wish to make to the Church; essential documents everyone should own; information on gifts of cash, securities, closely held stocks, retirement plans, life insurance, and estates; ways to make planned gifts to the Church; and partnership, estate, and lifetime gifts. A selection of informative articles covering a range of topics to help advise potential donors is also available.
