Media to cover May 25 meeting of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Pope Francis

The Press Office of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America announced in a release dated May 20, 2014 that the Eternal Word Television Network [EWTN] will provide a live broadcast of the meeting of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope Francis at Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Sunday, May 25.

The event will mark the 50th Anniversary of the meeting of their predecessors, Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras and Pope Paul VI in 1964.

EWTN’s coverage will begin on May 25 at 11:55 a.m. Eastern Time.  The event also may be followed on the special “Apostolic Pilgrimage” site developed to mark the occasion [www.apostolicpilgrimage.org], the web sites of the Patriarchate of Constantinople and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America [www.patriarchate.org and www.goarch.org respectively], and the Orthodox Christian Network [www.myocn.net].
