Martyr Eutychius at Nicomedia

The Holy Martyrs Eutychius, Bassus, Eusebius and Basilides were courtiers of the emperor Diocletian (284-305). They witnessed the suffering of Bishop Theopemptus of Nicomedia (January 5) for his faith in Christ, then they came to believe in Christ and received holy Baptism. For this reason they were subjected to tortures and condemned to death in the year 303.

St Eutychius was tied to four poles by his hands and feet, and he was pulled apart.
