Christian Churches Together in the USA seeks executive administrator

Christian Churches Together in the USA [CCT] is seeking a full time staff person to serve as executive administrator.

The ideal candidate will be a person with theological depth, widely respected by a broad cross-section of Christian churches and communities, with extensive experience in inter-church activity. He/she will be a self-starter with excellent leadership, communication and fundraising skills and be deeply committed to CCT’s vision. [Visit
www.christianchurchestogether.org for more info on CCT.]

The executive admistrator will work closely with the presidents and steering
committee in facilitating the work of CCT. Among the responsibilities of
the executive administrator: to plan and facilitate membership development;
to organize and facilitate the meetings of the steering committee; to plan
and prepare the annual meetings in close coordination with the steering
committee; to develop and oversee the budget; to keep financial records; to
develop and engage in fund raising; and to plan and oversee all public
communication. He/she will be assisted by a half-time administrative
assistant.

This position has some unusual requirements and possibilities. The
candidate should be an experienced person of stature who can relate as a
peer with national church leaders. The role of the executive administrator,
however, is primarily one of facilitating the work of the presidents and of
the steering committee.

CCT has a primary emphasis on building relationships and anticipates that
the candidate will demonstrate excellent people skills in relation to
participants as well as facilitating new relationships with potential
participants; the success of the executive administrator, however, will also
depend on his/her strong organizational and administrative skills and
ability to work independently.

Because CCT is a new organization, the executive administrator will have
opportunity, together with the steering committee, to shape future
responsibilities and tasks. The ideal candidate will value the challenges
of being part of a new creative movement and find satisfaction in discovering and/or creating the way forward.

Salary ranges between $68,000 and 80,000 with health benefits.

Applications accepted until February 28, 2007, or until the right candidate is found. The negotiable starting date is June 1.
