Georgian Patriarchate choir to sing at New York cathedral

NEW YORK, NY [OCA Communications] — The highly acclaimed choir of the Sioni Cathedral of the Patriarchate of Georgia will sing at services and perform a concert at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral here on Satuday and Sunday, December 16-17, 2006.

On Saturday, December 16, the choir will sing the responses at the 10:00 a.m. Divine Liturgy at which the Very Rev. Amiran Amiranashvili will preside.

On Sunday, December 17, the choir will sing the responses at the 9:30 a.m. hierarchical Divine Liturgy. His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman, will preside. Following the Liturgy, a reception will be held at noon, after which the choir will perform in concert at 12:45 p.m. A free-will offering will be taken for the choir during the concert.

The public is invited to both services and the concert.
