In Memoriam: Anna Wyslutsky

On SUnday, February 24, 2008, Mrs. Anna Wyslutsky, 82, of Lancaster, PA, fell asleep in the Lord. Mrs. Wyslutsky is the mother of the Rev. Nicholas Wyslutsky, pastor of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Mogadore, OH.

Born in Mount Laffee, PA, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Cuttic Wartella.

Mrs. Wyslutsky was a 1942 graduate of Minersville High School, Minersville, PA.

Until retiring, she was the Cass Township tax collector after her husband retired from that office.

Mrs. Wyslutsky was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, Minersville, St. Ann Sodality, and she was secretary for Ss. Peter and Paul Russian Brotherhood Organization.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas, in 1994; and two grandchildren, Michael Rogers and Anna Rose Wyslutsky.

In addition to Fr. Nicholas and his wife, Matushka Elizabeth, Mrs. Wyslutsky is survived by two daughters, Barbara and her husband, Michael Rogers of Primrose, PA, and Sandra Wyslutsky, with whom she resided for the past three years and at whose home she passed away. She is also survived by: eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her dear friend, Sandra Wasilus; brother, Andrew Wartella of Vista, CA; two sisters, Olga Peshock, Mar Lin, PA, and Mary Yost, Fishing Creek, PA; aunt, Sophie Emro of New Jersey and numerous nieces and nephews.

On Wednesday evening, Feburary 27, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., His Grace, Bishop Tikhon of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania will celebrate the Panikhida for Mrs. Wyslutsky at Dutcavich Funeral Home, Minersville, PA. On Thursday, February 28, funeral services will commence at 9:30 a.m. at Dutcavich Funeral Home and continue at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, with the Very Rev. Michael Hatrak officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Branch Township. The family asks that Anna be remembered with contributions to the Church Memorial Fund.
