OCA Chancellor discusses OCA seminaries, annual Seminary Appeal, on Ancient Faith Radio

Ancient Faith Radio currently is featuring an interview with the Archpriest Alexander Garklavs, Chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America, concerning the work of the OCA’s three seminaries—Saint Vladimir’s, Crestwood, NY; Saint Tikhon’s, South Canaan, PA; and Saint Herman’s, Kodiak, AK—and the annual June Seminary Appeal.

“June is seminary appeal month, during which the parishes and faithful of the Orthodox Church in America are reminded of the important work of our seminaries,” Father Alexander says in the interview. “Whatever donations are received this month are divided between the three seminaries.”

Commenting of the future of Orthodox Christian seminary education in North America, Father Alexander says, “There is a thirst for God and for authenticity in the Christian experience, which is what Orthodox Christianity offers. We see the Holy Spirit working, and we see there is more and more interest (in theological education).”
