Wonderworking Icon of the Mother of God to visit Holy Cross Church, Williamsport, PA
The Wonderworking Icon of the Mother of God “She Who is Quick to Hear,” enshrined for a century in Saint Tikhon’s Monastery, South Canaan, PA, will be visiting Holy Cross Church here on October 21, 2009, at 7pm.
His Grace, Bishop Tikhon of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania, will lead the singing of the Akathistos Hymn in honor of the Mother of God and anoint the faithful with holy oil at the end of the service. Refreshments will follow in the Orthodox Fellowship Center adjacent to the Church.
