Martyr Silvanus of Pisidia

Saint Silvanus witnessed the suffering of the martyr Bianor. The endurance and bravery of Saint Bianor inspired Silvanus to believe inChrist, and he openly declared this. They cut out his tongue and then cut off his head. Saint Bianor, after long torturing, was also beheaded.

The date of the suffering of the holy Martyrs Bianor and Silvanus is not precisely known. It is presumed that they died in Pisidia under the Roman emperor Diocletian (284-305).
