Martyr Stratonicus in Scythia

The Holy Martyr Stratonicus suffered for the Christian Faith with Saints Seleucus, Chronides, Leontius and Serapion in the third century. Saint Stratonicus was from Bithynian Nicomedia. After fierce torments for their confession of faith in Christ, holy martyrs were savagely killed.

Saint Stratonicus, after being tortured by order of the Bithynan governor, was bound to two bent tree trunks. His body was split in two (See also September 9).
