On May 4 and 5 Archimandrite Alexander was consecrated to the episcopacy. The consecration weekend will begin with the celebration of Vespers at the cathedral on Friday, May 4, at 7:00 p.m. at which time Archimandrite Alexander made his profession of faith before the members of the Holy Synod of Bishops. A reception followed in the cathedral hall.
At 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, Metropolitan Jonah together with his brother hierarchs concelebrated the Divine Liturgy at which Archimandrite Alexander was consecrated Bishop of Toledo and the Bulgarian Diocese

The Rite will conclude with the actual consecration of the sacred oil during the Vesperal Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great on Great and Holy Thursday, April 12.
