His Eminence, Archbishop Michael, with the blessing of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon and His Holiness, Patriarch Kirill, presided at the celebrations for the the Feast of Saint Herman from August 8-9, 2019, here at the OCA Representation Church of St. Catherine the Great Martyr.
Prior to the festal vigil on August 8, Archbishop Michael, accompanied by Archpriest Daniel Andrejuk, dean of St. Catherine’s Church, visited the American Embassy where they were greeted by Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Bartle Gorman, Political Minister Counselor Timothy Richardson and First Secretary Political Officer Alison Hannah. During the meeting, Archbishop Michael and Fr. Daniel updated the embassy staff on the restoration work at St. Catherine’s and the upcoming 25th anniversary of St. Catherine’s in December.
On August 9, Archbishop Michael concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with His Grace, Bishop Dionisi of Voskresensk, other clergy from Moscow, and representatives of other local Orthodox Churches serving in Moscow.
