Metropolitan Herman to Address DC Marchers

His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman, Primate of the Orthodox Church in America, will once again lead Orthodox Christian pro-life marchers at the annual March for Life in Washington, DC on January 22, 2004.

“For years, Metropolitan Herman has been a visible and vocal champion for the rights of the unborn,” said the Very Rev. John Matusiak, OCA Communications Director. “His presence and speeches at the annual March for Life have provided a profound witness of the Orthodox Church’s fundamental belief that all life, created by God, is sacred.”

Orthodox marchers from around the US will gather under the large “Orthodox Christians for Life” banner between 11:00 and 11:30 AM at the Ellipse, opposite the White House. They will proceed from the Ellipse to the US Supreme Court building, where Metropolitan Herman is expected to conduct a service for the unborn.

Metroplitan Herman will also participate in the annual Rose Dinner later the same day.
