National FOCA Convention to honor Metropolitans Herman and Theodosius

The Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America [FOCA] will honor His Beatitude, Metropolitan Theodosius on his retirement and His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman on his election as Primate of the Orthodox Church in America at its 76th annual National Convention here August 29 - September 2, 2002.

“Metropolitan Theodosius was the national spiritual leader of the FOCA and a life member of the organization,” said Mr. Nicholas Ressetar, Convention co-chairman. “The newly elected Primate, Metropolitan Herman, the FOCA’s new spiritual leader, has been active in the fellowship for many, many years.”

Metropolitans Herman and Theodosius, together with His Grace, Bishop Nikon of Baltimore and numerous clergy, will concelebrate the Sunday Divine Liturgy during the convention, which is slated to convene at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel and Convention Center in Harrisburg/Camp Hill, PA.

The video tribute to Metropolitan Theodosius, “The More Excellent Way,” will be shown during the convention Grand Banquet. The video was debuted at the 13th All-American Council which was held in Orlando, FL July 21-26, 2002.
