Prof. David Drillock to lead liturgical music workshop March 20
Prof. David Drillock, chair of the Orthodox Church in America’s Department of Liturgical Music and Translations and retired professor of Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, Crestwood, NY, will conduct a workshop at Christ the Saviour Church here on Saturday, March 20, 2010.
Titled “Singing with the Angels,” the workshop will explore issues related to the ministry of song and the worshiping community, including chanting, congregational singing, vocal production, clarity of pronunciation, choral blend, and new music.
Prof. Drillock will present over two dozen musical arrangements during the workshop.
The workshop is open to the public.
The $15.00 registration fee includes all workshop materials and a lenten luncheon.
