Salem, SC site of annual Inter-Orthodox National Youth Worker Conference, October 21-23

— The 2005 inter-Orthodox national youth worker conference cosponsored by the youth departments of the Orthodox Church in America, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, will be held at the Diakonia Center, Salem, SC, October 21-23, 2005.

The keynote speaker at this year’s conference is the Rev. Father James Gavrilos, who will address the gathering on Friday evening, October 21. The conference theme, “Are You Ready,” will explore a variety of topics including practical programming and organization, the spiritual formation of teenagers, relevant contemporary social issues, and spirituality and ministry. Other highlights of the weekend conference include educational sessions and workshops, roundtable discussions with youth workers, and daily liturgical services.

Registration is open to anyone interested in working with youth, including but not limited to clergy, youth directors and youth workers, volunteers, teachers, coaches, and parents.
