The Orthodox Church in America’s Pastoral Life Ministries Unit will sponsor its second Pastoral Ministries Conference for all OCA clergy at Saint Tikhon’s Monastery and Seminary here June 5-7, 2001.
The conference theme, “The Pastor and Parish: Spirituality, Administration and Community,” will be explored through a variety of presentations, plenary sessions, and small group discussions.
“The conference will be a wonderful occasion for the brotherhood of clergy to gather, to pray, to have fellowship, and to share in continuing education,” says the Very Rev. Alexander Garklavs, Unit chairman.
According to Protopresbyter Robert Kondratick, OCA Chancellor, “it is hoped that all parishes will provide funding for their clergy to attend this important gathering, the second in recent years. The theme is a particularly important one in light of the fact that it is precisely the life of our parishes that we hope to highlight at the 13th All-American Council in 2003.”
Further information and registration forms have been sent to all parish clergy, with a registration deadline of May 7.
