Antiochian Village site of Clergy Wives Weekend November 9-11

The fourth annual Clergy Wives Weekend will be held at Antiochian Village here November 9-11, 2012.

The pan-Orthodox gathering of spiritual refreshment and fellowship, conducted in memory of Khouria Joanne Abdalah, is open to clergy wives of all jurisdictions.  It offers a weekend away from parish and family responsibilities, focusing on worship, recollection, and presentations.

Speakers include Mother Magdalena of Holy Transfiguration Monastery, Ellwood City, PA, who will speak on “The Peace that Passes Understanding: The ABCs of Aquiring a Peaceful Heart.”  Khouria Janet Shadid, a licensed social worker and counselor, will deliver a presentation titled “Bullying: Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself.”

The weekend’s coordinating committee includes Laila Ellias, Mira Filipovich, Janet Shadid, Becky Touloumes, Stefanie Yazge, Valerie Zahirsky, Mother Alexandra, and His Grace, Bishop John.
