Campus Ministry focus of June 21 conference
The Department of College Ministry of the Diocese of New York and New Jersey, in partnership with the OCA Department of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministries and the national Orthodox Christian Fellowship, will sponsor a conference titled “The Fields Are White For Harvest: Welcome To College Ministry” at Holy Apostles Mission, 347 Ridge Road, Lansing, NY on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
Presenters include Ms. Janine Alpaugh, Student Ambassador, Diocese of NY and NJ Department of College Ministry, who will speak on the “Impact of College Ministry on Students;” Andrew Boyd, Director of the OCA Department of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry, whose topic will be “Challenges, Strategies and Opportunities in Ministering to Today’s College Students” and the “Effects of Campus Ministry on a Parish;” and Father John Diamantis, who chairs the diocese’s Department of College Ministry, who will share information on “How to Start an OCF.”
