Evangelization Department web site launched
The Department of Evangelization recently announced that its new web site is now accessible at goodnews.oca.org.
“The first purpose of the site is to make a wealth of accumulated wisdom and resources gathered and developed by the department over the past two decades easily accessible,” said Priest John Parker, who chairs the department. “Available in a single location are three important and helpful documents: the Mission Planting Handbook, the Stewardship Handbook, and the digital version of the excellent Parish Ministry Resources.”
The site also features the “Good News” Journal, which will offer articles, reflections and news related to missions and evangelism.

- will highlight current and past Planting Grant Missions.
- will develop and offer Spanish Language and Russian Language resources in a single location.
- will develop a renewed appreciation for our missionary roots, particularly in Alaska.
- points to several OCA resources available to help rejuvenate parishes.
“Parishes and missions are invited to submit helpful articles based on local evangelistic efforts in order to encourage and inspire others in North America to the same,” Father John added. “We welcome the assistance of those interested in helping to develop this mobilized resource.”
