Liturgy theme of August edition of “Wonder” young adult blog

The August 2012 edition of “Wonder,” the blog of the Orthodox Church in America’s Department of Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries, is now available. This month’s theme is “Time for the Lord to Act” and features reflections and articles on the Divine Liturgy and our liturgical life.

Deacon Jason Ketz answers questions about liturgy from a church camp in his article “Liturgy: The Time of God’s Revelation.” Father Sean Levine, an army chaplain reflects on the difficulties and joys of serving in a war zone in his article submitted directly from the field. In “The Rest of My Faith” Father David Wooten shares his journey from leading baptist worship to serving Liturgy as a newly-ordained priest. Lastly, Deacon Ketz and Andrew Boyd wrestle with the historical development and change of our Liturgy in their article “The Changing Face of Our Liturgy.”

The theme of the September edition of Wonder, “And You Visited Me” will feature articles about visitation of the sick and those in prison.
The deadline for submissions is September 10. As always, readers are invited to submit articles, creative writing, artwork, poetry, photos, and videos for future installments.
