OCA to be represented at OCPM board meeting
Archpriest John Kowalczyk will be attending the bi-annual Board of Directors’ meeting of the Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry [OCPM] here February 21-23, 2013.
“The Board of Directors will be planning the Annual Convocation to be held this year in Atlanta, Georgia in September,” according to Father John, who serves as OCPM Secretary. “Additional information concerning the Convocation will be announced as it becomes available.”
OCPM is a Pan-Orthodox agency under the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of North and Central America. His Grace, Bishop Mark of Baltimore, serves as Episcopal Laison for OCPM.
In addition to being Chancellor of the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania, Father John is the Director of Field Education for Saint Tikhon’s Seminary, South Canaan, PA, and has been involved in Prison Ministry as Forensic Chaplain at SCI-Waymart for the past 27 years.
