Scholarships available for 2011 college conferences

Scholarships are still available for the Orthodox Christian Fellowship’s 2011 College Conferences in late December.

Interested students are urged to apply during the on-line registration process at events.ocf.net.   Please note that the deadline for the early-bird discount rate is December 15, 2011.

The conferences will be held during Christmas Break in three locations.  Each will focus on the theme, “Raise Me Above This World’s Confusion.”

College Conference West

Saint Nicholas Ranch, Dunlap, CA December 27-30, 2011.  Earlybird rate until December 15 is $215; regular rate is $240.

Keynote speaker—Fr. Josiah Trenham, Pastor, Saint Andrew Church, Riverside, CA.

College Conference East

Antiochian Village, Bolivar, PA December 28-31, 2011.  Earlybird rate until December 15 is $240; regular rate is $265.

Keynote speaker—His Grace, Bishop Michael of New York and the Diocese of New York and New Jersey, OCA.

College Conference South

Diakonia Center, Salem, SC December 28-31, 2011.  Earlybird rate until December 15 is $210; regular rate is $235.

Keynote speaker— Fr. Michael Nasser, Pastor, Holy Apostles Mission, Bowling Green, KY.


Annually, nearly 400 students from across North America participate in the conferences to learn and grow closer in their Orthodox Faith in an exemplary display of pan-Orthodox fellowship.  Each four-day conference includes a prominent keynote speaker, along with workshops led by clergy and lay leaders who are experts in their related fields.  Featured workshop topics will include Understanding Orthodoxy, Comparative Religions, Practicing Your Faith, Contemporary Issues in Orthodoxy, Dating and Personal Relationship, and Serving, defined as “Seeing God in Others.”  For more information, call the North American Office at 1-800-919-1623.  To register, visit events.ocf.net.
