Search continues for Metropolitan’s Assistant; April 2 application deadline

The Chancery of the Orthodox Church in America continues to accept applications for the position of Assistant to the Metropolitan.

This demanding position requires an individual to to assist the Metropolitan in his daily routine, including serving as his subdeacon, driver and general assistant. Specific duties include arranging and maintaining his schedule, travel and correspondence, as well as assisting him during liturgical services.

The position carries an applicable salary and benefit package. Applicants should possess a good knowledge of the order of services, display personal management skills, and have the ability to work irregular hours. A college and/or seminary graduate with language skills is preferable. A currently ordained subdeacon or tonsured reader would be preferable, although the candidate must meet the requirements to serve in these positions.
