OCA Youth Department launches podcast in partnership with AFR

From My Youth

In partnership with Ancient Faith Radio [AFR], the Orthodox Church in America’s Department of Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries recently launched a new podcast titled “From My Youth.”  The podcast focuses on sharing repeatable, concrete, and needful resources for those engaged in youth and young adult ministries.  Each episode will feature an interview with noted theologians, psychologists, or clergy and laity engaged in youth ministry efforts on the local and diocesan level.

“We hope to provide quality, usable resources for local ministry with this podcast,” said Andrew Boyd, OCA Youth Director and podcast host.  “To that end, our first offering concentrates on teaching scripture to children.  In the next few installments, we will also address modeling asceticism to our youth and offer an introduction to campus ministry and handling transitions to and from college.

The Department also hopes to collaborate with AFR to provide easily-accessible and meaningful resources for our youth and those who minister to them.

“We are deeply thankful to AFR for their willingness to work so closely with us,” Mr. Boyd added.

The podcast is available for free download or live-streaming on AFR’s website or via the iTune’s store.  Feedback and ideas for resources to offer are welcome and should be sent to Mr. Boyd at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
