Video confirms flooding at Minot’s Saint Peter the Aleut Church
While obtaining specific information on the status of Saint Peter the Aleut parish here, an aerial YouTube video posted on the web site of the Grand Forks [ND] Herald at www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/207852/group/homepage clearly indicates that the church is under water.
The seven minute video, posted on the Herald’s web site on June 25, 2011, was taken from a North Dakota National Guard Black Hawk helicopter.
The church’s distinctive twin white cupolas and central cross are clearly visible at the 2:44 through 2:47 markers.
Ongoing prayers for the rector, Igumen Anastassy, the parish faithful, and the entire population of the region are requested, especially as cleanup efforts get underway.
