Parish Background

The founding members of St Cyril of Jerusalem Orthodox Church received Archbishop Dmitri’s blessing to start a new Orthodox Church in the area at the end of 2004. They incorporated and received a name in spring, 2005, holding reader services until a priest could be assigned.

Fr Basil Biberdorf was assigned by His Eminence in August, 2005, with the first Divine Liturgy celebrated August 13.  The parish is home to Christians both young and old, from a wide variety of backgrounds, who seek to follow Christ and his Gospel. We welcome all those looking for a new church home: those who are Orthodox already as well as those who want to learn more about the church of the New Testament.
