Apostle Epaphroditus of the Seventy
St Epaphroditus was one of the Seventy Apostles chosen and sent forth to preach by Christ (Luke 10:1).
St Epaphroditus was one of the Apostle Paul’s closest assistants and companions, and later became bishop of the Thracian city of Adriaca.
The Church also commemorates St Epaphroditus on December 8 together with Sts Sosthenes, Apollos, Cephas, Tychicus, Caesar, and Onesiphorus. They departed to the Lord in peace.
