Abbot of St. Tikhon’s Monastery issues response to investigative report
In a brief, one page letter dated March 29, 2010, Igumen Sergius, the Abbot of Saint Tikhon’s Monastery, issued a response to the report of the committee that had been charged with investigating past financial practices at the monastery and its bookstore.
Father Sergius, who was recently elected and installed as Abbot—his election by the brotherhood was the first in over four decades—expressed the brotherhood’s appreciation for the committee’s efforts and offered assurances that new practices and policies are already well in place.
