Fr. Thomas Hopko to speak at Pittsburgh area IOCC gathering

CANONSBURG, PA — The Very Rev. Thomas Hopko, retired dean of Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, will be the featured speaker at a retreat sponsored by the Pittsburgh area International Orthodox Christian Charities on Saturday, November 14, 2009.

The retreat, slated to begin at 9:00 a.m. and close after a noon luncheon and question-and-answer session, will be held at Saint John the Baptist Church, 601 Boone Ave., Canonsburg, PA.

Father Thomas’ topic will be “Almsgiving.”

Proceeds from the retreat — registration donation is $20.00 — will benefit the ongoing work of International Orthodox Christian Charities.
