Metropolitan Jonah, OCA department heads meet
SYOSSET, NY [OCA]—His Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah, met with the chairs of six Orthodox Church in America ministry departments at the Chancery on May 3, 2010.

Among the various issues discussed was the upcoming Parish Ministries Conference and Young Adult Rally slated to be held on the campus of Berea, OH’s Baldwin-Wallace College near Cleveland June 27-30. The conference and rally, a joint project of the Departments of Christian Education; Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministries; and Liturgical Music and Translations, will provide hands-on training for parish ministry, focusing on the theme “Equipping the Saints.” Protodeacon Joseph Matusiak, coordinator, briefed the department chairs on the program, speakers, and other details.

Metropolitan Jonah, OCA department heads meetEach chair shared current projects and programs offered by his or her respective department. The status of established programs and projects was reviewed and assessed, while goals for immediate and long-range implementation also were discussed.

Metropolitan Jonah thanked the chairs for their initiatives and good work, and expressed his support for ongoing departmental projects and revitalization.
