10/9/04Topic 1: Planned Giving
Guest 2: Peter Dourdas
Charitable Gifts… benefiting your favorite cause.
For many people the term Charitable Giving sounds quite imposing and unclear to many as to what it means. Simply stated, Charitable Giving is making a difference in the lives of others. You have provided for your family, you are now ready to fulfill your philanthropic goals. Everyone has his or her own reason for making charitable gifts - generosity, religious belief, gratitude, and hope for a better future.
Charitable giving is a key component of stewardship for Orthodox Christians. Stewardship is realizing in our minds and hearts that everything we are and everything that we have are God’s loving gifts to us; we are merely stewards of those blessings. “As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10
Tune in as Fr. Chris and Peter N. Dourdas, FBS, President Dourdas Financial discuss the topic of “Charitable Giving”. We can be good and faithful servants and help do the Lord’s work with “Charitable Giving”. If we seek God and follow scriptural principals when we make financial plans, we can have a financially secure life for ourselves and build a financial legacy for the people and church we so dearly love. We welcome Peter N. Dourdas as a guest on our program and thank him for becoming our first of what we hope will be, numerous National Airtime Underwriters. For more information about becoming a National Airtime Underwriter, please contact our headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale at 1. 877.2RECEIVE (877.273.2348)
