The St. Nicholas Uganda Children’s Fund provides for the education, health, and welfare of Ugandan children, teens, and young adults. We are driven by the biblical imperative to care for the least among us (Matt. 25:40) and to provide for “widows and orphans in their distress.” (James 1:27)
Founded in 2005, we are educating more than 250 orphans and vulnerable children from impoverished neighborhoods in the capital city of Kampala. We support students in Primary School, Secondary School, Vocational & Business Training, Nursing School, and University. Our support is comprehensive: school fees, lunch, uniforms, shoes, socks, books, scholastic materials, and health care. We provide additional support to desperate families and child-headed households by assisting them with food, rent, clothing, bedding, mosquito nets, and medical expenses.
An important part of the ministry is the personal counseling we give to each student. In addition to directing them in their academic pursuits, we provide personal and moral guidance appropriate to each age level.
