The beloved mother of His Eminence, Archbishop Michael of New York and New Jersey, Ann (Rosics) Dahulich, 91, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
A lifelong member of Saint Michael’s Orthodox Church, Binghamton, NY, and the former secretary of the parish’s Ladies Guild, Ann was a retired employee of the City of Binghamton and the Greenman Senior Center.
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Anna Rosics; her husband, Peter Dahulich; her two brothers, Andrew and Michael Rosics; and her sister, Marie Dancho. In additon to Archbishop Michael, she is survived by her son, George Dahulich (Ret. Capt. USAF), Centreville, VA, and her daughter, Barbara Knighton, Binghamton; three grandchildren, Georgia Wimberly [Randall], Shanise Kent [Kyle Wolf] and Jaron Knighton; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will begin at Saint Michael’s Church, Binghamton, NY at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11. A Parastas will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. followed by a light meal. Visitation will resume at the church at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, followed by the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Protopresbyter James S. Dutko, Pastor of Saint Michael’s Church, and area and visiting clergy. [Clergy are asked to wear white vestments.] Interment will follow at Saint Michael’s Cemetery, after which a lenten luncheon will be held in Ann’s memory.
