Archdeacon Roman Skvarnavicius fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, February 10, 2007, after a battle with cancer.
A graduate of Saint Tikhon’s Seminary, South Canaan, PA, Archdeacon Roman was attached to Boston’s Holy Trinity Cathedral.
After being prepared and vested by several area clergy, Archdeacon Roman’s body was brought to Saints Peter and Paul Church, Springfield, MA, on Sunday, Feburary 11, after which a Memorial was celebrated.
Funeral services will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 12, at Saints Peter and Paul Church. The Divine Liturgy and Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 13, at 10:30 a.m. His Grace, Bishop Nikon of Boston, New England, and the Albanian Archdiocese will concelebrate with His Eminence, Archbishop Job of Chicago and the Midwest, former Bishop of Boston and New England; the Rev. Mikhail Korolev, rector of Saints Peter and Paul Church; and diocesan and guest clergy.
