Archpriest Oleg Kirilov fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in Moscow, where he resided in retirement.
Born in Berlin, Germany on September 20, 1945, Father Oleg studied at Saint Sergius Orthodox Theological Institute, Paris, France. Ordained to the priesthood by His Eminence, the late Archbishop Sylvester in January 1979, he served parishes in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. From 2007 until his retirement in 2011, he served as Dean of the Ontario Deanery. For several years in the 1990s, he had also lived in Moscow, serving at Saint Philip Church, including two years as Acting Rector.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Philip Church, Moscow, on Saturday, October 22.
