Matushka Dorothy [Matchik] Timko, beloved wife of the late Archpreist George Timko, fell asleep in the Lord on April 8, 2015.
Matushka Dorothy faithfully ministered with her husband at Holy Assumption Church, Marblehead, OH, and a mission community in Monroe, CT before his assignment to Saint George Church, Buffalo, NY, which they served until Father George’s repose in 2000.
Survivors include three sons, George Jr. (Robin) of Vermont, Mark (Marie) of Iowa, and Matthew (Lydia) of Vermont; two daughters, Mary S. and Lisa (John) Cabra; siblings Matilda Laslo, Rudolph, Robert and Evelyn Evaniske and the late Fredrick Matchik; and ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Saint George Church, 2 Nottingham Terrace, Buffalo, NY from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Bright Monday, April 13. A Paschal Parastas will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Paschal Funeral services will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Bright Tuesday, April 14, followed by interment at Saint George Cemetery.
