Matushka Linda Dudash, the beloved wife of Archpriest Hal Gregory Dudash, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, following a courageous three year battle with Lymphoma.
Born July 9, 1947, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Romanowich) Bob. Linda grew up in the Bronx, where she went to grade school, the Bronx High School of Science, and graduated at Hunter College with a degree in Microbiology. Linda met her future husband, Hal Gregory Dudash at a church dance, and married in the summer of 1970 at the Cathedral of the Holy Transfiguration, Brooklyn, NY.
Matushka Linda spent 19 years as a military spouse while Father Hal Gregory served as a chaplain in the U.S. Air Force, and was no stranger to moving. Together they relocated over a dozen times including stays in Mississippi, Germany, Colorado, England, and Arizona.
Matushka Linda stood faithfully alongside her husband in parishes in the Dioceses of New England, New York, and New Jersey, and the West. She loved spending time with her family, including her three daughters, their husbands, and her five grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as FiFi.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Christina E. Reeves (Alan) of Southampton, PA, Maria A. Kauffman (Scott) of Boise, ID, and Elizabeth M. Tavenner (David) of Spring Mount, PA; and five grandchildren, Georgia, Charlotte, Lilah, Davey, and Emily.
The funeral service for Matushka Linda were held at Saint Philip Orthodox Church, Souderton, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Mainline Hospital Cancer Center who treated her with great love and care.
May Matushka Linda’s memory be eternal!
