Matushka Lydia Malasch, beloved wife of the late Protodeacon Vladimir Malasch [Malaschkovich], fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
Matushka Lydia’s husband, who for nearly three decades faithfully served at Saint Nicholas Cathedral, Washington, DC, fell asleep in the Lord on January 18, 1989. She is survived by her son, Nicholas Malasch; her daughter, Anne [Don] Rowe; and loving nieces and nephews Jolanta, Kamil, Marek, Mary, Matthew and Nicholas.
Visitation will be held at Saint Nicholas Cathedral, Washington, DC at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30. A Memorial will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at the cathedral at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, followed by interment in Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Saint Nicholas Cathedral, 3500 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20007 or the charity of one’s choice.
