Mrs. Christine [Permaloff] Zedlovich, who for many years served as Circulation Director for The Orthodox Church newspaper, died after a lengthy illness on September 18, 2002.
A native of Detroit, Mrs. Zedlovich relocated to the metropolitan New York area after her marriage to Nicholas S. Zedlovich. For many years she was active in the Federated Russian Orthodox Clubs, in which she held various offices on the district and national levels. A member of Saint Nicholas Church, Whitestone, she was active in the parish sisterhood and other ministries. With her husband, she was also active in Saint Vladimir Seminary Theological Foundation, of which she served a term as treasurer. In 1978, she was awarded a Citation from His Beatitude, Metropolitan Theodosius for her years of dedicated stewardship serving the Orthodox Church in America.
In addition to her husband, Nicholas S. Zedlovich, she is survived by six children, Nicholas, Alexander, Andrea [Schray], Michael, Anastasia, and Peter and nine loving grandchildren. A seventh child, Elizabeth [Biscotti], preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at the church at on Saturday, September 21, followed by interment in Flushing Cemetery.
