On certain special occasions, daily vespers includes an entrance.
At vespers on the same day as a great feast of the Lord, there is an entrance with the censer, followed by a great prokeimenon and then the augmented litany, “Let us say . . .” These three features ordinarily appear in great vespers but not in daily vespers.
Vespers on Sunday evenings in Great Lent also has an entrance and great prokeimenon.
