Meeting under the presidency of His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America began its Regular Fall 2023 Session at the historic Holy Trinity Cathedral in Chicago, IL.
In his initial remarks, His Beatitude welcomed the bishops and thanked His Eminence Archbishop Daniel for his hospitality. His Beatitude remarked, “It is a blessing for the Holy Synod to meet in a sacred space founded by one of our North American saints, Hieromartyr John of Chicago, and consecrated by another, Saint Tikhon the Enlightener of North America.”
The Holy Synod will continue its Fall Session through Thursday evening.
