Metropolitan Council Offers Prayers for Those in the Path of Hurricane Milton
The Metropolitan Council of the Orthodox Church in America, meeting today in its Regular Fall 2024 Session under the presidency of His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, unanimously adopted the following resolution:
The Metropolitan Council of the Orthodox Church in America resolved to express its concern for the communities of the Orthodox Church in America and for all the people of Florida threatened by Hurricane Milton, and to assure them of its prayer to Christ, “whom wind and sea obey” (Lk. 8:25), that he would graciously have mercy on those in the path of the hurricane and preserve life and property from the rage of this storm.
