Choir director sought at Minneapolis Cathedral

St. Mary’s Cathedral in Minneapolis, MN was founded in 1887.

MINNEAPOLIS, MNSaint Mary Cathedral here is seeking a full-time music director. Under the direction of the dean, the music director is responsible for liturgical singing at the cathedral. This position combines the traditional responsibilities of choir director, psalomchik, and ecclesiarch: directing/leading church singing; leading youth and senior choir rehearsals; acting as a reader as needed; training readers and volunteer directors; providing ongoing parish music education; working with the youth program and church school; preparing texts for services or supervising this activity; accompanying and assisting clergy in some pastoral and sacramental ministries; other duties as assigned by the cathedral dean or board president. Salary and benefits will reflect a national standard for church music ministry.
