Clergy widows to hold retreat September 25-27 at Holy Transfiguration Monastery
With the blessing of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah, a retreat for clergy widows will be held at Holy Transfiguration Monastery, Ellwood City, PA, Friday through Sunday, September 25-27, 2009.
“Recently, a few of us who are widowed discussed how nice it would be if we could get together as a group to share our concerns, thoughts, and fellowings about our lives,” said Matushka Fran Vansuch, who along with Matushka Diane Pelesh is organizing the retreat. “In the peaceful surroundings of the monastery grounds, we will have the opportunity to pray and reflect on God’s blessings as well as share with each other in the journey of continuing on alone without our husbands.”
Accommodations and meals will be provided graciously by the monastic sisterhood. Free will donations will be gratefully accepted.
