Diocese of Washington and New York to hold liturgical music workshop
The Diocese of Washington and New York will hold a workshops for singers, choir directors, and readers at Holy Trinity Church, 369 Green Ave., East Meadow, NY from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2008.
In the morning session, Sarmila Daniel will explain how good singing techniques can overcome such pitfalls as fatigue, sore throat, and laryngitis. She will also offer advice on voice control, proper posture, and correct breathing.
The Very Rev. Sergei Glagolev will conduct the afternoon session, during which he will lead participants in singing some of his original compositions and will offer a variety of choral tips.
